I agree. Some idiots are just being irritating pain in the b***.
Someone gave me a "red" with totally unjustified reason. Initially I was upset - and I complained about it - found that he gave me more reds with similar comment from multiple userids (because one userid can't give multiple green/red to the same post). And this guy is doing at weird times ..like 5 in the morning (so psyco is the right description ... now I am sure he is going to given couple of reds to me :D )
After rethinking - now I don't care much about reds - someone is just pissed off, jealous or having fun ... red might make us (and our posts) look less reliable ... however I decided to keep my blood-pressure low and psyco's high :D ..so go ahead psyco - add more reds !!

The idea that core wants to float is to have an effective campaign under the IV umbrella. Please come up with more innovative ideas and discuss with core.
I think this campaign can be pretty effective if we want it to. This idea is not totally outlandish. If you recall, recently fans of the CBS series Jericho sent nuts to the office of CBS when that series was discontinued.
Sometime back, Indians in the UK sent thousands of unstamped letters to their postal department, protesting a stamp that hurt their religious sentiments.
Those campaigns worked and so can this. All we need is a little bit of enthusiasm!

On March 12, 2002, the House passed such an extension. Section
245(i) of the Immigration and Nationality Act was first enacted as a temporary
provision in 1994 and has been extended several times since then. It enables

Can someone advice on this.
Currently I am on H1B visa and I will apply my AOS before 17th august as dependent(Secondary applicant).
After applying AOS if I have to leave my job then will I be out of status since I won't be on H1 status and I won't be on H4 ?
Can I leave my job after applying AOS or I have to wait till We get receipts of 485?

After applying for I-485 you are in AoS Pending status and you can leave the current job without being out of status.
You should probably wait until I-485 is delivered.

Following up on my previous post. Here is the format for the ad and the affidavit. We went to the DC embassy to get the name changed and they have next day (business days only) passport-by-mail service. I don't think they have same day service.
Actual correct name: <corr_first_name> <corr_last_name>
Current Name on passport: <first_name_pp>
Name in US docs (Visa, SSN, Drivers Lic.):
<first_name_us> FNU _OR_ <first_name_us> <first_name_us>
Format of the ad we placed in Indian newspaper (TOI) and local US newspaper:
I, <first_name_pp> AKA <first_name_us> FNU AKA <first_name_us> <first_name_us> d/o <dads_name> R/o <indian_address/us_address> have changed my name to <corr_first_name> <corr_last_name>.
Format of Affidavit from India (on Rs. 10 Non Judicial Stamp Paper):
AFFIDAVIT
I, <first_name_pp>, D/o <dads_name>, R/o <indian_address>, do hereby take oath and solemnly declare as under:-
1. That I have declared my name as <first_name_us> <first_name_us> earlier.

Placing the ad, getting the affidavit and posting it to US all took a total of 1 week. We went to the DC embassy early on a Friday and we got the passport with the name changed via mail by Monday.
Another friend of mine got the same thing done via the mail-in service. It took him 2 weeks to get the passport back.
